Our History
Taubah Academy, originally known as Touba, was founded in 2002 by Mrs. Halima Mohamed to provide Muslim families in DeKalb and Gwinnett counties with a faith-centered alternative to traditional homeschooling.

From the start, Taubah Academy has been dedicated to creating an environment rooted in Islamic values, supporting the holistic development of students—intellectually, spiritually, and physically.

Serving one of the largest immigrant Muslim communities in the Metro Atlanta area, Taubah Academy continues to play a vital role in nurturing responsible, ethical, and engaged members of society.

In recent years, we have expanded our offerings to include counseling, academic support, tutoring, and educational coaching for K–8 students and adult learners. Insha Allah, vocational training, professional development, and continuing education programs are also in development and will be available soon.
